MEET OUR PASTOR!

Elder Eric Virgil Briggs was born on October 4, 1971, as the sixth child to Apostle Floyd Briggs and District Mother Bertie Briggs. Elder Briggs was educated in the public schools of Richland County District One in Columbia, SC. He later went to the DeVry Institute of Technology in Decatur, GA. After a brief stay in Decatur, GA he moved back to Columbia, South Carolina where he married his wife, Chrystal S. McLeod. They have three beautiful children, Jessica Nicole, Kelsey Shelese, and Eric Jordan.

Elder Briggs earned a Masters of Theology and received a Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Counseling where he graduated from James Dussault University in Columbia, SC. He is a 16-year employee at the United Parcel Service, Inc.

Elder Briggs is a faithful and dedicated member of Triumph the Church and Kingdom of God in Christ, Columbia, South Carolina where he currently serves as the Shepherd.

Elder Briggs is a shepherd with a mission to “Empower the World through the Word of God.” He believes that the body of Christ should be empowered in every area of life. His preaching and teaching focuses on empowering believers spiritually, and developing them educationally. In spite of the awesome anointing on his life, Elder Briggs is still modest enough to “keep it real.” His humility allows him to connect with those from age seven to seventy.

He is the president of the Men’s Ministry (Brother’s Keepers) where he believes that sacrifice and commitment is going to yield exceptional stability in all men. His steadfastness, patience and obedience in waiting to hear God’s word is an asset among the body of Christ, particularly in Columbia, South Carolina.

His favorite passage of scripture is: And when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. Luke 22:32(a)
